Abstract:

We introduce a new model with buthtab hazard rate named the Burr X exponentiated exponential (BXEEx) distribution. Some structural properties of this model are derived. The BXEEx density can be expressed as a linear mixture of exponential densities. The model parameters are estimated via the maximum likelihood. We compare BXEEx model with other extended forms of exponential distribution using of two real life data sets to prove its flexibility empirically
