Abstract:
The division of a number n (with n ≠ 0) by zero is not defined (or it is considered impossible). The result of the division 0 / 0 is instead considered indeterminate. About the former case some famous mathematicians have written that the result is ∞. However these problems have been solved (we say circumvented) by the theory of limits. Here it is shown that these two divisions are possible and that they give a result without resorting to the theory of limits
