Abstract:
The MHD flow of dusty fluids through channels is very important from industrial point of view as molten metals are passed through channels for shaping them into different forms and also oil refineries need the knowledge of such flows. In view of this, the motion of an incompressible dusty fluid with uniform distribution of dust particles between two parallel plates have been considered under the influence of uniform transverse magnetic field. After forming the equations based on well established theories, they have been solved under the assumed conditions, after that the effect of various parameters associated with the flow problem have been analyzed with the help of graphs. The velocities of fluid and dust particles are found to decrease on increasing the magnetic field.
