Abstract:
The contextuality property of measurements results of quantum systems is a strong research tool in the domain of foundations of quantum mechanics. For instance, this property provides evidence that, “unperformed experiments have no results” (A. Peres’ dictum), it provides arguments against so-called “elements of reality”, allows proving the quantum-entanglements non-locality, etc. A particular class of proofs of the quantum contextuality relies on the ‘101’ property of spin 1 bosons. The first proof of this type is due to Kochen and Specker using the square spin projection along 117 directions in space. The great number of directions represents a very strong impediment in implementing the proof experimentally. A. Peres reduced the number of directions to 33. In this text, the number is reduced to 8, using also the nonlocal properties of the singlet state of spin 1 bosons
