Analyze the Effect of Power Function on Image Sizes

- We apply the simple power function f(x) = x^n for various values of “n”, both bigger than 1 and values between 0 and 1, on each pixel value of images. Some examples of the function include x^2, x^3, x^4, x^(1/2), x^(1/3) etc. We analyze the effect of this application both on the size of the images and how it changes the overall quality of the images. We use “Mathematica” code to run the experiment and all the code is provided in the paper for any interested readers to recreate the experiment.
