- The aim of this paper is to discuss two of the most crucial affective characteristics which are believed to be influential in teaching, learning, testing & the whole educational systems. All the involved parties including parents, teachers, learners educators, programmer, curriculum developers, believe that extroversion/ introversion an affective characteristics are influential in learning, in general, and in language learning in particular. That is why these characteristics have attracted great attention in recent years from psychologists, sociologists, educators and teachers. Therefore, the affective characteristics should be treated more appropriately. To this end some of the crucial affective characteristics including maturation, attitude, anxiety, extroversion/introversion, risk taking, self-confidence, inhibition, self-esteem and shyness. In addition to the implication of their importance for teacher’s job is very demanding in identifying problem associated with any of these characteristics and helping learners overcoming those problems. So, creating a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom, using various kinds of activities and grouping in the classroom are inevitable.
